The Ultimate Leader

Monday, April 28th, 2008

Last March 2008, I attended a seminar on leadership featuring my favorite author and speaker Dr. Myles Munroe. I’ve been studiying and following his books for 5 years now on the topic of the kingdom. But this particular seminar focused on leadership with a twist of kingdom principles. I have never heard any person who have discussed it so brilliantly and I would like to share to you some of the “IDEAS” I heard and learned from him, not just in the seminar but with the books I have read on the topic.

Jesus Christ was the first business person in history with a global vision. In today’s society we are just starting to think about global business, networks, and the internet. Christ was at this level a long time ago. Two thousand years ago, He told eleven, uneducated fishermen and accountants to “go into all the world.” He said, “I have a business idea, and if you work with me, we will have a global business. And this product shall go into all the world.” This was 2000 years ago, and He was thinking about global business. So He started in the little town near a lake called Galilee.

He began to train people whom society thought had no leadership on the inside of them. He didn’t go to downtown Jerusalem in the big city. Instead He stayed with individuals from a small town and worked with those person who were open to His message. Sometimes education can be an obstacle to progress. Jesus used these uneducated, untrained people. (more…)

Entrecard

Monday, April 28th, 2008

Want to build traffic to your site and don’t know how to? One way of doing it is through Entrecard. It’s like a social networking where you get to announce your site to other Entrecard users. They also have programs where you can earn income on it by dropping your card which is by the way very addictive, plus, you get to advertise your site to other Entrecard users’ site. A friend introduced me to Entrecard a few weeks ago and I gave it a try. When I monitored my stats, day one indicated 6 visitors. After a week, it shoots up to 79 visitors a day. That’s in a span of 8 days only. I get links and referrals from other sites.  Try it!

10 Tips on how I do it.

As I was gathering my thoughts on writing my next post, a familiar sound came to my attention. Text message just came in. I was asked to design a banner to be used for announcing the school’s enrollment.

So I quickly got my pen and paper and started sketching ideas that would immediately come to mind. And “tada”! Just made a mockup banner. Saved it to jpeg format then sent the design through email for approval. (more…)

SIGNOS - threat of a changing climate

Tuesday, April 22nd, 2008

The film entitled “An Inconvenient Truth” by Al Gore opened my eyes to the reality of global warming. Watching the movie made me realize its disturbing effects on different nations of the world. But lately, what moved my heart into action was a documentary film shown on April 20, 2008 in Philippine television which was made by GMA7 entitled “Signos” - a GMA climate change documentary on global warming in the Philippines.
