Two comic superheroes from two different universe, DC and Marvel, are going to rock planet earth this summer. So, who’s it gonna be? The Bats or the Shellhead? These two guys have some things in common. They don’t have mutant superpowers but pure genious. In their secret identies, Bats is a billionaire industrialist and so is Shellhead. Batman has deep emotional issues; Iron Man has serious issues stemming from his bouts with alcoholism. Both use superior technology.

Iron Man will be shown on Philippine theaters on April 30 and with The Dark Knight coming in July. Who would you think would rock the house?

Before we proceed, make sure you have watched both trailers. If not, you can check out the bats trailer at the bottom and swellheads’ trailer on my Iron Man post.

Now that you’ve seen both trailers, you could give a fair assessment to each. I’m more of a Batman fan than Iron Man. Something in Batman’s character as the Dark Knight attracts me. It exudes a very strong character that gives his enemies the creeps. His presence alone commands respect.

In terms of movie wise, who would you think would top the charts? When I saw the bats trailer, I kinda like it for its consistency but Iron Man sparked excitement as I viewed it. Well, maybe coz he’s the new kid on the block and how the trailer plus music was presented. But again, hype doesn’t guarantee that the film would be good. Batman doesn’t need hype to attract viewing because it has proved itself before. It’s just a matter of outdoing itself from its last film.

At this point, I’m on the Dark Knight but I’m excited more on Iron Man. So, who will I go for? It’s a tough decision coz I haven’t seen both movies yet.

Iron Man and The Dark Knight will be in theaters, fighting for your attention. And please, do see the movie in theaters near you and avoid purchasing pirated movies.

Now, I pose this question to you… Who do you think is better? The Dark Knight or Iron Man? It’s truly a tough call!
