The Ultimate Leader

Last March 2008, I attended a seminar on leadership featuring my favorite author and speaker Dr. Myles Munroe. I’ve been studiying and following his books for 5 years now on the topic of the kingdom. But this particular seminar focused on leadership with a twist of kingdom principles. I have never heard any person who have discussed it so brilliantly and I would like to share to you some of the “IDEAS” I heard and learned from him, not just in the seminar but with the books I have read on the topic.

Jesus Christ was the first business person in history with a global vision. In today’s society we are just starting to think about global business, networks, and the internet. Christ was at this level a long time ago. Two thousand years ago, He told eleven, uneducated fishermen and accountants to “go into all the world.” He said, “I have a business idea, and if you work with me, we will have a global business. And this product shall go into all the world.” This was 2000 years ago, and He was thinking about global business. So He started in the little town near a lake called Galilee.

He began to train people whom society thought had no leadership on the inside of them. He didn’t go to downtown Jerusalem in the big city. Instead He stayed with individuals from a small town and worked with those person who were open to His message. Sometimes education can be an obstacle to progress. Jesus used these uneducated, untrained people.

He gave them an idea.

First, He gave His followers what every business person must have. He gave them an idea. Then He began to work on their self-esteem. He gave them a sense of identity. Leadership begins with the discovery of oneself – the discovery of personal identity. He worked for two and a half years, helping them to love themselves and to believe in themselves. Why? His business required this kind of thinking. You cannot succeed if you have people around you who do not believe in your business. His company is more successful than any other company in the world. Let us take a look at an overview of His Company.

He developed a company with eleven uneducated men, trained them for two and a half years, and then left the company in their care. Two thousand years later the company has almost two billion clients. I work for the company. It is the biggest and oldest company in the world. No other company has lasted so long and is still running. Governments have died. Even the Roman Empire could not outlast His Company. Additionally, His Company is not only the most well managed company, but the product is so pure that it has gone through hell, oppression, and depression, and it is still a good product. As a matter of fact, I have used it, and it works. That is why I sell it so much.

Also, the company has some awesome benefits. You have abundant life now and after you die. Therefore, when you consider templates of leadership, I would like for you to try to think about anybody in history that chose some fishermen and turned them into world changers. You have to study that man. You have to find out what is His secret. That is why we have to study Jesus’ leadership.
