Mission to trade

Ideas, ideas, ideas… some are great, some are ok and some are not so good. But what the heck. It is those ideas that run the world and make a mark on history whether it is dumb or ingenious.

A fellow entrecard user has embarked on an idea on a mission to trade. He was inspired by Kyle MacDonald who traded one red paperclip and ended up with a house. The idea is to trade what you have in exchange for something bigger or better.

Stuart, a 22 year old Australian is now on his way to pursue this idea by trading a bottle of diet coke towards an adventure that he seeks.

Mission Rules:

  • The mission begins on 8th of May 2008 and will conclude on the 8th of May 2009 unless extended by Stuart.
  • Trades can be made either over the internet or in person. In the case of over the internet trades an item must be received by Stuart before he will send the traded item.
  • Items can be tangible or non-tangible (tangible being things such as a guitar, non-tangible things such as shares etc).
  • No money (cash) will be exchanged as part of trades it is to be strictly based on barter for goods, services etc.
  • All trades are final.

After a year, we don’t know where he would end up. Some of you might say that all of these are a waste of time or it’s a crazy insane idea and some, would think that it’s brilliant. But one thing is for sure, there are only few people who have the guts to pursue their ideas. And those who don’t just grow old and think about their “what if’s”.

It only takes one idea to change a man’s life… - d65blade
